The experience
There is a difference between a photo that looks nice and a photo that feels like you. My family sessions are built around the second kind. Instead of stiff poses and frozen smiles, we spend our time together playing, talking, and simply being, while I photograph the real moments that rise up in between. The way your youngest reaches for you. The inside joke that makes everyone laugh. The quiet weight of a child falling asleep on a shoulder. Those are the frames you will return to for years, long after the trends and the outfits have changed.
My goal is for your gallery to feel like an honest love letter to this exact season of your life. Not a performance of a perfect family, but a celebration of the one you already are.
Every session is relaxed, unhurried, and led by genuine connection. We meet in the soft light of early morning or golden hour, at your home or a meaningful spot somewhere across San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. From there I guide gently. I will offer simple prompts and a little direction when it helps, then step back and let your family be your family. There is no pressure to look a certain way or to keep little ones perfectly still, and some of my favorite images come from the in-between, when everyone forgets the camera is even there.
Before we ever meet, I share a simple styling guide with palette ideas and tips that photograph beautifully in natural light, so you can show up feeling prepared and completely at ease.
Families come in every shape, and all of them are welcome here. Whether you are chasing a wild toddler, wrangling teenagers, folding in grandparents for a multi-generation session, or simply wanting to remember the two of you before life changes again, this is a space to slow down and be fully yourselves. If your child has big feelings on the day, that is okay. If you do not love being in front of the camera, that is okay too. My job is to make the experience feel safe and easy, so the love that is already there has room to show up.
We also offer a discount for single moms, because everyone deserves to be in the picture.
