The experience
The earliest days with a newborn are a blur of love, exhaustion, and wonder, and they pass more quickly than anyone warns you. Newborn photography is my way of helping you hold onto them. Rather than elaborate props and stiff setups, I focus on the real tenderness of this season: the curl of tiny fingers, the way your baby nestles into your chest, the soft exhaustion and overwhelming love written across a new parent face.
These are the details you will ache to remember once they are gone, and the ones your child will treasure seeing one day.
My newborn sessions are calm and lifestyle led, which means we follow your baby cues instead of forcing a rigid plan. Most sessions happen in the comfort of your own home, in your own light and your own space, where everyone feels most at ease. We keep things slow and flexible, with plenty of room for feeding, soothing, and snuggles along the way.
There is no need to tidy the whole house or to have everything perfect. The goal is simply to capture your family exactly as it is in these first precious weeks.
A new baby changes everyone in the home, and your session is a beautiful chance to honor those new relationships. Older siblings meeting the baby, a partner careful hands, the whole family piled together on a bed in the morning light, these are the frames that tell the fuller story.
If you have a toddler who would rather run than sit still, that is completely welcome. We work at their pace and let the genuine moments unfold.
Because newborns keep their own schedule, the best time to plan is before your baby arrives. Reaching out during your pregnancy lets us hold a window around your due date and adjust gently once your little one is here.
